In the 19th century, the “Three Crowns Inn” in Chippenham, Wiltshire, played a significant role in local business and events. Thomas Bendry established a coach-building business adjacent to the inn in 1844, emphasising prompt service, punctuality, and reasonable prices.
The inn was a prominent fixture, with a bar, tap room, parlours, bedrooms, and stabling facilities and has remained a part of the community’s fabric ever since.
We always offer at least three farmhouse ciders, and a perry. Frequently, there is a wider selection of both. In addition, we offer a good selection of single malts and gins, together with a selection of craft ales.
We welcome friendly dogs and their friendly owners. There are blankets available so dogs don’t sit directly on the furniture, and water bowls for use.
Additionally, come and listen to live music or watch the football, rugby and other major sports on our TV, or simply sit around our woodburner and talk until the cows come home!
